Walt was recognized as one of America’s top 10 outstanding financial advisors during 2005 by Registered Rep. Magazine (see more). This award was the result of his dedication to client service, his productivity, commitment to education and his generosity in giving back to the community. Walt assists individuals, retirees, corporations and professional athletes grow, preserve and transition their wealth. In some cases, Walt is working with the third generation of families. As the Managing Partner, President and CEO of 9258 Wealth Management, Walt’s responsibilities include oversight of all facets of the practice, including portfolio management and risk control as well as financial, retirement, and estate planning and intergenerational wealth transfer.
He was inducted into the class of 2013 as a Gentleman of Style and Substance, an award hosted by Cincinnati Magazine, Saks Fifth Avenue, and the Cincinnati Parks Foundation. The award honored “Twelve extraordinary gentlemen for their professional accomplishments, achievements, and their passionate dedication to the community.” Walt was also honored by Venue Magazine as a member of the Class of 2013 Civic Leadership Award. This honor recognized Walt as “An individual who is dedicated to serving nonprofit organizations either as a professional vocation or through volunteer service.”.
Walt was recently recognized by the Cincinnati Film Commission, and honored with a “STAR” on the Walk of Fame. Walt was selected for this distinction because he has been indisputably among the thirty individuals who have contributed to the Film Commission’s outstanding growth and success since its inception thirty years ago.
Walt is a graduate of Miami University (Ohio), and has earned the Accredited Asset Management Specialist designation (AAMS) from the College for Financial Planning. He also completed the Executive Certificate in Financial Planning program at Xavier University. In addition, during 2002, 2003, and 2004, Walt attended the Advest Institute at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
He has served Raymond James as a member of the Raymond James Retirement Plan Advisory Council, as well as the Heartland Region and Northern Division Advisory Boards.
Walt is a member of the Investment Management Consultants Association, and is also a Registered Financial Advisor of the National Football League Players Association (see more)
